Attendance Requirements
To be considered for grading, students must meet the minimum attendance requirements:
Adults
Minimum of 30 classes
Junior Kids & Senior Kids
Minimum of 15 classes
You can check your attendance history through the GARRA BJJ member portal.
Please note that in Jiu-Jitsu it is completely normal for students not to grade at every ceremony. Grading is based on consistency, attendance, attitude, technical development, and overall progress throughout training. These requirements apply equally to all students. If a student has not yet met the minimum grading requirements, their attendance will continue to accumulate and be carried over towards their next grading evaluation.
Mandatory Profile Update
Please make sure your member profile is fully updated before grading invitations are finalised. The following information is mandatory:
- Rank / Belt Level
- Profile Photo
- Belt Size
These details are important for student progress tracking, grading preparation, and belt organisation.
Grading Fee
$60
A grading fee applies to students who are officially invited to grade. This fee will be processed for invited students in line with the grading process.
Unable to Attend?
Students who are invited but are unable to attend the official grading event will be graded during subsequent classes after the grading date.
